About the Internship

For nine weeks, you'll be part of the everyday life of our church: worshiping, serving, studying, and building real relationships with our members. Every intern will:

  • Worship with the church on Sundays and Wednesdays, and help with services and events
  • Get to know our members through hosted dinners, fellowship meals, and everyday care
  • Serve in youth, children's, and young adult ministry, including a full week of Vacation Bible School
  • Study God's Word with our pastors through weekly book discussions and Dinner and Doctrine
  • Meet with pastors across the region to learn about ministry in New York
  • Help with practical projects around the church

2027 Intern Reading Schedule

Life as an Intern

Interns live at the church, with separate quarters for men and women, and share the church kitchen. We ask everyone to live in a way that honors Christ and protects our church family:

  • Love the members: At church gatherings, spend time with members rather than with other interns.
  • Dress: Business casual or business formal on Sundays, and modest clothing at the pool or beach.
  • Conduct: No cursing or cruel, racist, or sexual language. No alcohol, smoking or vaping, drugs, or weapons.
  • Safety with students: Interns are never alone with a youth student of the opposite gender.
  • Commitment: Attend all scheduled internship activities.

Getting Here

Plan to drive to Levittown. Our church is at 50 Wolcott Road, Levittown, NY 11756 (directions), and interns park on site. Having a car also makes it easier to get around Long Island during the summer.
