Jesus declares "I am the Light of the World"

1. The Absurdity

- to the Pharasees this was an absurity because they saw Jesus as only a man

  (see Exodus 13:21-22)

- but Jesus was declaring that those who follow Him will not walk in spiritual darkness.

He will lead them out of darknes into light like the pillar of fire from God in Exodus.

2. Darkness

- Those who do not follow Jesus are living in spiritual darkness (Ephesians 4:17,18)

3. Light

- Out of the spiritual darkness, Jesus brings Light and Life for His people (John 1:4,5)
