Jesus is The Word, the Creator, the Life, the Light 1 John 1:1-5

1. Jesus is the Word (v1-2)

- He existed before everything was created.

- He is with God, He IS God

- He is one person in the triune God - Father, Son, Holy Spirit

2. Jesus is the Creator. (v3)

- He is the Alpha and Omega. The creator of everything that exists.

3. Jesus is the Life. (v4)

- He is the source of physical and eternal life.

- Believing in Jesus gives us eternal life.

4. Jesus is the Light. (V5)

- Jesus created the Light to reveal all of creation, so that we can "see" it.

- He also created the light to reveal the nature of God Himself, Himself. (v14)

- He is the Light that gives Life to us. (John 3:36)

- As the Light He shines in the darkness (the world of sin opposed to God) to overcome the darkness and save His people from it.

- Light (Jesus) always defeats darkness.

- "And the night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever." (Revelation 22:5"
