Scripture Text - 1 Peter 4:12-19

Point 1: Christians should expect persecution. (Verse 12)

- It has always been this way - Hebrews 11:32-38

- Jesus said it will happen - Matthew 16:25; Galations 2:20

- Jesus himself was persecuted - John 15:27

Point 2: Christians should rejoice when persecuted. (Verses 13-14)

- As you share in Christ's suffering, your reward is great in Heaven - Matthew 5:10-12

Point 3: Christians should be persecuted for the right reasons. (Verse 15)

Point 4: Christians should maintain an eternal perspective. (Verse 17-19) 

In the face of the reality of persecution, entrust yourself, body and soul 

to God - (Verse 19)

- It IS worth it
