The Reasons Why Jesus Died.

1. How did Jesus die?

- It was not taken from him. He gave it up. He laid it down of his own volition.

2. Why did Jesus choose to lay down his life?

- For his disciples, to lay down his life for their salvation.

3. What does it mean that Jesus laid down his life FOR someone?

- He took their place to pay for something.

4. What does the death of Jesus save us from?

- Saved sinners from their separation and alienation from God.

- it saves us from God Himself, from his wrath, from his eternal condemnation.

5. How does the death of Jesus reconcile us and save us from the wrath of God?

- Substitutionary Atonement. Jesus suffered God's wrath instead of me, in my place.
